LAHORE – The Civil Services Legacy Guild (CSLG) and its Co-host successfully organized the First National Condolence Reference at Alhamra Hall, Lahore. This solemn and historic event was dedicated to honoring the departed civil servants and national luminaries who served Pakistan from 1947 to 2025.
The event, which paid profound tribute to the lasting contributions of these figures, was expertly executed by the Probationers of the Civil Service Academy’s 53rd Common Training Program.

The speakers shared heartfelt condolences and delivered poignant reflections, uniformly highlighting the exceptional caliber, dedicated sincerity, and significant contributions of the former civil servants. They underscored how the commitment to excellence and hard work by these individuals has fundamentally shaped the nation’s development and progress.
Mr. Yawar Mehdi, Founder of CSLG, conveyed the Guild’s profound grief and deep sorrow, extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. He concluded his remarks by offering a prayer for the eternal peace and infinite blessings of Allah upon the departed souls. The Civil Services Forum formally acknowledged and paid tribute to the meritorious services of these distinguished figures.
Official Condolences from National Leaders
A key segment of the concluding session involved the reading of official condolence messages received from high-ranking national and international figures. Messages from Mian Muhammad Shahbaz, Prime Minister of Pakistan, and Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, Governor Punjab, were delivered by the Civil Service Academy probationers. Additionally, a message was read out from Salman Farooqi, Former Secretary General to the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, who conveyed his sentiments from the USA.
The ceremony concluded with renowned Naat Khawan Marghoob Ahmad Hamdani offering dua and Fateha (prayers for forgiveness) for the departed souls.
