Shigar, Gilgit-Baltistan, September 11, 2025 — A long-cherished dream of providing modern, high-quality education to the remote village of Sagaldu in Chhurkah, Shigar, Gilgit-Baltistan, has become a reality with the grand opening of Momena Cheema School. The inaugural ceremony, hosted by the Momena Cheema Foundation (MCF) founders, Mrs. Tayyaba Zia Cheema and Dr. Muhammad Akhtar Cheema, was a momentous occasion attended by a large number of local residents and distinguished guests.
The event was graced by notable dignitaries, including the esteemed Health Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, Raja Azam, DIG Police GB Tufail Ahmed Mir, Assistant Commissioner Shigar Faisal Hayat Gondal, Syed Abdullah, President of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Baltistan, and former Deputy Director of Education Syed Ahmed Iraqi.
