Pakistan Armed Forces Celebrate Youm-e-Takbir

Islamabad  — On the occasion of Youm-e-Takbir, the Armed Forces, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and Services Chiefs extended their heartfelt congratulations to the nation.

In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military highlighted the significance of May 28, 1998, when Pakistan became a nuclear power, restoring strategic balance in South Asia. The statement emphasized that Pakistan’s nuclear capability is a national trust, reflecting the aspirations and determination of its people.

The ISPR reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to credible minimum deterrence, ensuring peace and stability in the region. The doctrine of minimum deterrence, according to the statement, is designed to maintain security while promoting regional harmony.

The Armed Forces reiterated that Pakistan’s nuclear capability is purely defensive and serves as a safeguard for national security. They also paid tribute to the sacrifices made by scientists, engineers, and leaders who contributed to this historic achievement.

On this significant day, the military leadership urged the nation to remain united and committed to the country’s sovereignty and progress.
