Pakistan Security Forces Thwart Major Infiltration Attempt Along Afghan Border

ISLAMABAD (8 August 2025) – Pakistani security forces detected and neutralized a large-scale infiltration attempt by *Khawarij* militants along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border overnight on 7-8 August.

According to military officials, the group – identified as operatives of the Indian-sponsored *Fitna al Khawarij* network – was intercepted in the Sambaza area of Zhob District, Balochistan. Through precise and aggressive engagement, troops successfully repelled the incursion, killing 33 militants.

“A significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered from the neutralized terrorists,” stated an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) communiqué. Sanitization operations continue in the area to eliminate residual threats.

The ISPR emphasized Pakistan’s resolve: “Security Forces remain unwavering in defending national frontiers and eradicating Indian-sponsored terrorism from our soil.”

No casualties were reported among Pakistani troops during the operation.
