Skardu– Muhammad Hadi Balti, a distinguished social activist from the remote village of Katisho in Baltistan, has been conferred the prestigious “Lifetime Achievement Title Award” in recognition of his extraordinary humanitarian services.
The award was jointly presented by the Social Welfare Development Organization Baltistan and the Karakoram Disability Forum during a ceremony held in Skardu, attended by a large number of social, political, and educational figures.
Currently residing in Kuwait, Muhammad Hadi Balti has been silently supporting the underprivileged, orphans, widows, needy students, and persons with disabilities for many years without seeking publicity or recognition. To date, he has provided financial assistance to hundreds of individuals, covered educational expenses for numerous children, facilitated medical treatment for patients, and extended emergency aid to deserving families.
Speaking via video link upon receiving the award, Muhammad Hadi Balti said:
“This honor truly belongs to all those helpless people whose lives I have been fortunate enough to improve. Whatever Allah has blessed me with, there is barakah (blessing) only in sharing it.”
Senior officials of the Social Welfare Development Organization Baltistan, addressing the ceremony, stated:
“People like Muhammad Hadi Balti are the pride of our society. Even while living abroad, they never forget the pain and struggles of their homeland. His services stand as a shining example.”
Muhammad Hadi Balti’s contributions are widely celebrated across Baltistan, and he is often heard saying:
“Never let the head of someone seeking help bow in shame – this is my mission.”
