Pakistani-American Community Leaders Emphasize National Pride on Pakistan Day

In a joint statement, Shams Zaman (President), Salman Butt (Senior Vice President), Shahzad Anwar (Vice President), and Ashraf Chaudhry (General Secretary) of the Pakistan American Society (PAS), a prominent Pakistani-American community organization, declared that building Pakistan’s image is the responsibility of every overseas Pakistani. “We will keep Pakistan’s flag flying high in America and will not tolerate any negative remarks against Pakistan,” they stated.

They made these remarks while addressing a Pakistan Day celebration held in Little Pakistan, Coney Island.

Speaking at the event, Salman Butt, a distinguished Pakistani-American community leader and CEO of Red Lipstick Art & Entertainment, said, “Pakistan is our life and identity, and we stand with Pakistan at all times.” He further stated, “Overseas Pakistanis are ready to make any sacrifice for the country.”

Salman Butt added that the Pakistani-American community loves Pakistan, expressing this sentiment by praising the national song performance by Ustad Hamid Ali Khan in Jersey City.

He highlighted that the community was brought together on the occasion of Pakistan Day to pay tribute to the martyrs of Pakistan who sacrificed their lives for the nation. Salman Butt not only participated in Pakistan Day celebrations across New York and New Jersey but also played a significant role in organizing them.

The organization’s Vice President, Shahzad Anwar, said, “Our hearts beat for Pakistan. On Pakistan Day, the entire community stands with Pakistan and is expressing its love for the country.”

As a special guest at the event, New York State Senator Stephen presented citation to Sulman Butt on his service to Community .
