Strong Reaction by Major Waseem Mahmood Butt (Retd), President, PESAF Veterans – Great PAKISTAN, to Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s Statement in Kasur
“The sacrifices of our Shuhada (martyrs) are far above any political interest, lust for power, or temporary political narrative. Our martyrs laid down their lives to safeguard Pakistan’s peace, freedom, sovereignty, and future. To exploit or wound the emotions of their bereaved families for political purposes is not only a moral failure but also an affront to national unity.”
Major Waseem Mahmood Butt (Retd), President of PESAF Veterans – Great PAKISTAN, stated:
“The call of a cleric is one thing; the call of a Mujahid is another.”
He said that if any statement has caused pain to the families of our martyrs, Ghazis, or to the nation at large, then an apology offered merely out of political expediency cannot heal those deep wounds.
He further stated:

“Those who fail to appreciate the sanctity of the sacred blood shed by Pakistan’s martyrs cannot truly represent the sentiments of this nation. Every drop of our martyrs’ blood has secured our freedom, sovereignty, and national dignity, and its sanctity is beyond compromise.”
He called for appropriate action in accordance with the Constitution and the law to ensure that no individual in the future dares to make irresponsible, inflammatory, or derogatory remarks against Pakistan’s martyrs, Ghazis, or its state institutions.
He concluded:
“The nation will never compromise on the honour and dignity of its martyrs. While every citizen has the constitutional right to hold and express differing political views, insulting our martyrs or trivialising their sacrifices is absolutely unacceptable and unforgivable. All PESAF Veterans and the great people of Pakistan stand like an unbreakable wall beside the families of our glorious martyrs today, tomorrow, and always.”
