Today the New York Pharmacists United Network had the opportunity to meet with nasa county executive and New York gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman to discuss the critical challenges facing independent pharmacies and the patients we serve. We were encouraged by his strong interest in pharmacy reform, including making New York’s ban on PBM ownership of pharmacies a priority. We also emphasized the importance of protecting independent community pharmacies, ensuring fair reimbursement, and preserving patient access to quality pharmacy care. We appreciate the opportunity to share our concerns and look forward to working with policymakers on meaningful solutions that strengthen community pharmacy and improve healthcare for all New Yorkers.
