BIRMINGHAM : Chairman of the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF), Syed Qamar Raza, addressed large community gatherings in several UK cities, emphasizing national unity and the strength of Pakistan. Speaking at a major event in Birmingham, he stated that “Pakistan today is in strong hands under the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who have transformed the country into a powerful state.”

He said that Pakistan’s foreign policy has elevated the nation’s standing across the world, while the Pakistan Army, under the command of Field Marshal Asim Munir, has established its influence internationally. He described the Army Chief as a humble and compassionate leader, loved by the people, who not only meets overseas Pakistanis warmly but also knows how to confront enemies effectively.

Referring to India, Syed Qamar Raza recalled that during conflict, “Field Marshal Asim Munir never retreated from the border but advanced to ensure no harm reached the nation, setting an unmatched example of bravery.”

During a Q&A session, he assured that solid and sustainable policies are being introduced for overseas Pakistanis to resolve their issues. He highlighted the establishment of a High Court Cell in collaboration with the CCD to ensure justice. Problems related to PIA, NADRA, and passports would be prioritized for resolution, he added.

Urging overseas Pakistanis to increase their OPF membership, he said it would bring numerous benefits and facilities. He praised OPF’s progress, crediting its capable and patriotic team for strengthening the institution. He especially lauded OPF Managing Director Afzal Bhatti, describing him as a devoted patriot working tirelessly for the welfare of overseas Pakistanis.

Syed Qamar Raza further said, “Overseas Pakistanis should unite under the national flag. The sun of success and progress is rising for Pakistan. Investment in Pakistan will bring them the greatest benefit without difficulties. Overseas Pakistanis are the true asset of the country, and OPF belongs to them. This institution must be strengthened so that your rights are secured on solid foundations.”

The hall echoed with applause and slogans in his favor throughout the gathering.
