New York: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), currently on an official visit to the United States, interacted with the Overseas Pakistani community in Washington DC. The COAS received an enthusiastic welcome from the diaspora, who turned out in large numbers to meet the Army Chief.
The overseas Pakistanis lauded the exceptional performance of the Armed Forces during *Operation Bunyanum Marsoos / Marka-e-Haq*, commending their bravery and professionalism in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty.
During the engagement, COAS expressed profound appreciation for the pivotal role played by overseas Pakistanis as ambassadors of the country. He acknowledged their significant contributions to Pakistan’s economy and global standing through remittances, investments, and excellence in various fields.
The diaspora shared their experiences and suggestions with the Army Chief, fostering a constructive dialogue. The COAS emphasized the importance of sustained engagement with overseas Pakistanis, underlining the need for strengthened collaboration to tackle shared challenges and enhance mutual cooperation.
