KARACHI: May 7, 2025: In response to heightened tensions following Indian airspace violations, the Sindh Health Department has declared a health emergency across all hospitals in the province.
According to official directives, all medical staff leaves have been immediately canceled to ensure full preparedness. Health authorities have instructed hospital administrations to maintain 24/7 staff availability and keep emergency response units on high alert.
The Health Department has mandated strict compliance with emergency protocols, including ensuring adequate supplies of ambulances, oxygen, IV fluids, and essential medicines. Officials warned that any negligence in implementing these measures will face severe consequences.
Additionally, hospitals have been directed to maintain close coordination with Rescue 1122, district administrations, and law enforcement agencies. All emergency cases are to be handled with utmost priority and care.
The measures come as part of precautionary steps amid escalating regional tensions, with authorities emphasizing readiness for any potential crisis situation.
