Pakistan Army Lieutenant Colonel’s 7-Year-Old Son Martyred in Indian Ceasefire Violation

Islamabad- 7 May 2025: In a tragic escalation of tensions, Indian forces carried out unprovoked attacks across the Line of Control (LoC) late last night, deliberately targeting civilian areas in Kotli, Muzaffarabad, Bagh, Muridke, and Ahmedpur Sharqia. The brutal assault resulted in the martyrdom of 26 Pakistani civilians, including two children, while leaving 46 others injured. Among the victims was 7-year-old Artaaza Abbas, son of Pakistan Army Lieutenant Colonel Zahir, whose heartbreaking images have sparked nationwide outrage.

The indiscriminate shelling by Indian forces also destroyed two mosques in the targeted areas, further highlighting the deliberate nature of the attacks on civilian infrastructure. Eyewitnesses reported chaotic scenes as rescue workers rushed to pull victims from the rubble of damaged homes and buildings.

In response to this blatant aggression, the Pakistan Armed Forces launched a decisive counteroperation. According to military sources, Pakistani forces successfully shot down three Indian Rafale fighter jets, one Sukhoi SU-30, and one MiG-29 aircraft that had violated Pakistani airspace. Additionally, two Indian spy drones were neutralized during the operation.

The retaliatory strikes proved so effective that reports emerged of Indian troops waving white flags at several points along the LoC, signaling their inability to withstand Pakistan’s military response. Pakistani forces also targeted and destroyed an Indian brigade headquarters and multiple military posts in the Jura sector.

The Foreign Office has formally notified the United Nations Security Council about India’s violation of international law and deliberate targeting of civilians. Officials stated that Pakistan reserves the right to respond appropriately to any further aggression.

As the nation mourns the loss of innocent lives, particularly the young son of a serving military officer, the incident has further strengthened the resolve of both the armed forces and the civilian population. Military leadership has vowed that such acts of aggression will not go unanswered, while citizens across the country have expressed unwavering support for their defenders.

The situation remains fluid, with authorities closely monitoring developments along the border. Further details are expected to emerge as investigations into the incident continue.
