A delegation from the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), headed by Vice President Tariq Khan Jadoon, held a meeting with Haroon Akhtar Khan and Chaudhry Salik Hussain to discuss key economic and industrial matters.
The FPCCI delegation included Malik Sohail Hussain, Mian Zahid Hussain, Umer Rehan, along with other senior representatives from the business community. Freedon Akram Sheikh was also present during the meeting.

Discussions centered on Pakistan’s current industrial environment, the difficulties being faced by domestic manufacturers, and possible measures to strengthen industrial growth and national production capacity. Both sides emphasized the importance of continuous engagement between the government and the business sector to ensure that industry concerns are reflected in future economic and industrial policymaking.
During the meeting, Tariq Khan Jadoon, Malik Sohail Hussain, and Mian Zahid Hussain presented FPCCI’s budget recommendations to Haroon Akhtar Khan and Chaudhry Salik Hussain. The proposals were described as a practical and comprehensive framework aimed at tackling Pakistan’s economic challenges and supporting sustainable growth.
The federal minister and the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister appreciated FPCCI’s efforts in formulating the recommendations and acknowledged the positive response received from the business community. They reiterated the government’s commitment to constructive consultation and assured the delegation that FPCCI’s proposals would be carefully considered during the formulation of the upcoming federal budget.
