London: The Battle of Haq is a victory for the entire Pakistani nation. Kashmiris around the world must unite to urge the international community to take notice of the continuous illegal and unjust oppression of innocent people in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK): Dr. Muhammad Faisal.
The Pakistan High Commission in London organized a seminar/webinar to mark “Youm-e-Istehsal” (Day of Exploitation), condemning India’s unilateral and illegal actions of August 5, 2019, which revoked the special status of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The seminar was attended by Lord Qurban Hussain; Lord Shafaq Mohammed; Yasmin Qureshi MP, Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Pakistan; Chairman of the UK Pakistan Kashmiri Councillors Forum Liaqat Ali MBE; Khalid Mahmood, former MP; Dr. Sheikh Ramzy, Director of Oxford Islamic Information Centre; Dr. Zulfiqar Ali, Deputy Mayor of Newham; Councillor Amjad Abbasi; Ms. Shameem Shawl, Executive Member of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference; Ahmad Qureshi, international journalist; Advocate Rehana Ali, Information Secretary of Tehreek-e-Kashmir; Dr. Abida Rafiq, Chair of the Asian Resource Forum Kashmir; social activists; and a large number of Kashmiris from across the UK.

They emphasized the urgent need to resolve the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions. They also proposed developing a roadmap of actions and initiatives to reach out to the UK Parliament and policymakers for a fair resolution of the dispute.
In his keynote address, High Commissioner Dr. Muhammad Faisal highlighted the importance of unity among Kashmiris and Pakistanis worldwide for effective advocacy of the Kashmir cause. He strongly condemned India’s brutal tactics in IIOJK, including the detention of Hurriyat leaders, media shutdowns, communication blackouts, enforced disappearances, torture, and extrajudicial killings.
Dr. Faisal underscored the nation’s unwavering support for Pakistan’s armed forces during Operation Bunyán-ul-Marsous, which led to the decisive victory in the Battle of Haq.
Prior to the seminar, the High Commission organized a photo exhibition displaying evidence of atrocities committed by Indian occupation forces in IIOJK. The heart-wrenching images served as a stark reminder of the ongoing human rights crisis and the urgent need for a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute in line with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. Participants also observed a one-minute silence to pay tribute to the martyrs of Kashmir, while renowned religious scholar Qibla Hazrat Naeem Naqshbandi and Chairman of the Federal Tax Ombudsman for Overseas Pakistanis, Abid Hussain, joined in expressing solidarity with the Kashmiris.
