New York: Pakistani-American community organizations have extended their congratulations to NYPD Officer Zigm Abbas on his promotion to Captain Executive Officer at Police Station 115. Community members visited his office to present him with a floral bouquet in appreciation of his service.
Zigm Abbas, who was previously assigned to the NYPD’s Community Affairs Department, has maintained close ties with the Pakistani-American community. He has consistently assisted the community in various matters, earning their gratitude.
The NYPD has a considerable number of Pakistani-American officers serving in high-ranking positions, who are held in high esteem within the department.
During the celebration at his office, Maulana Tasawar Geelani led a prayer for unity and peace within the community. Overseas Pakistani Foundation President Zaheer Meher and Vice President Shakeel Sheikh also participated in the event and cut a cake to mark the occasion.
