Pakistan’s Parliamentary Delegation Engages in High-Level Dialogue at Washington DC Conference

Washington DC-Another milestone achieved by our think tanks, ‘ International Academy of Letters USA’ and World Dialogue Forum’.

 

Third Annual Pakistan Conference was held in collaboration with Middle East Institute, Washington DC. This conference has now become an annual feature of Washington DC, the capital of USA and an iconic event of our organization. The high level parliametary delegation of Pakistan headed by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was also part of the conference.

 

The objectives of this year’s conference were to convey the viewpoint of Pakistan about the Pakistan-India crisis, post- ceasefire situation and explore the opportunities for further security and economic cooperation between Pakistan and USA. Dr.Susan E. Saxton, COO, Middle East Institute, Ghazanfar Hashmi, President/CEO International Academy if Letters USA and Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, Pakistan’s ambassador to USA were opening speakers of the conference.

 

The panelists of the first session were Hina Rabbani Khar, Dr. Musadik Malik, Senetor Sherry Rehman and Tehmina Janjua where the session was moderated by Ghazanfar Hashmi and Michael Kugelman.
The panelists of second session were ambassador Anne Patterson, ambassador Jalil Abbas Jilani, Elizabeth Threlkeld and Dr. Hassan Abbas. The panelists of third session were ambassador Robin Raphel, Tahir Javed, Dr. Nasim Ashraf, Khurram Dastagir and Hasnain Aslam. The session was moderated by Omar Khawaja. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was the closing closing keynote speaker.
