New York- A spiritually uplifting gathering was hosted at the residence of PACOLI Chairman Bashir Qamar and his family and members of the Pakistani-American community came to pay tribute to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), Hazrat Ali (RA) and Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).
The event featured renowned Naat reciters and religious scholars who highlighted the noble character, sacrifices, and timeless teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Imam Hussain (RA). Speakers emphasized the significance of their unwavering commitment to Islam and the values of justice, sacrifice, and unity for the Muslim Ummah.
Bashir Qamar and his loving wife, Tasneem Qamar, were praised for their longstanding dedication to serving the Pakistani-American community. Well-known for organizing religious and community events, they regularly host gatherings such as Milad-un-Nabi, Quran recitations, and Ashura commemorations at their home, bringing together people from diverse backgrounds.
The soulful recitation of Naats created a deeply emotional atmosphere, with attendees expressing admiration for the heartfelt performances. The gathering remained peaceful and spiritually inspiring throughout the evening.
The event was moderated by Atiq Qadri Sahib, President of PACOLI. Distinguished religious scholar Maulana Taswer Gilani delivered a keynote address, focusing on the love of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), the sacrifices of Imam Hussain (RA), Islamic values, discipline, unity among Muslims, religious harmony, and the importance of stability in Pakistan.
Maulana Gilani also praised the Pakistani-American community, describing it as a vibrant and faith-driven community deeply devoted to Islam and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). His inspiring remarks received a warm response, particularly from women in attendance, and concluded with a special prayer for peace, unity, and prosperity.
Although Bashir Qamar remained engaged in overseeing the event’s arrangements, it was Tasneem Qamar who formally thanked the guests. She expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support and said she felt honored to host the gathering in her backyard during the sacred days of Ashura, remembering the sacrifices of Imam Hussain (RA) while celebrating the love and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Among the distinguished guests were members of the Pakistani-American community, representatives of Fourth Pillar and Pak Watan, including Shahid Ranjha and Humayun Qureshi. Shahid Ranjha also presented a moving Naat Sharief while both he and Humayun Qureshi reaffirmed PACOLI’s commitment to introducing more community programs that promote unity, social engagement, and Islamic values.
Humyyun Qureshi made a successful trip to Pakistan met with PPP leadership , renowned Government and corporate officials including his family members . His trip was highlighted in media and noticed in USA as well .
Among the other Naat reciters were Dr Saeed Ahmed Weince , Muhammed Husnan Saqlain and Atiq Qadri . Their melodious voices made great impression on participants . Among participants were Azra Dir, Commissioner Nassu County in Human Rights ,
