EDISON, NJ – After 15-20 years of building their lives in the United States, local entrepreneurs Abbas Zariwala and his wife, Nafisa, are channeling their family’s business heritage into a sweet new venture. Their highly anticipated dessert shop, Crispy Cones, is set to open its doors this Friday, August 29, introducing a unique ice cream experience to the Edison community.
The couple, who hail from business families, expressed a long-held desire to start their own enterprise. “My wife Nafisa and I have taken this step to bring this unique ice cream product to the NJ community,” said Abbas Zariwala, speaking with The Vigilant. “Our hope is to also bring employment opportunities for community members.”
The flagship product, the Crispy Cone, promises a multi-sensory experience: a warm, freshly made churro-style cone filled with a choice of creamy soft-serve ice cream, all finished with a variety of decadent toppings. The concept is designed to be a crowd-pleaser that keeps people coming back for more.
However, the Zariwalas’ vision extends beyond desserts. They aim to foster a sense of togetherness and strengthen the local community fabric.
“We believe that ice cream and togetherness are the perfect recipe for connection,” their mission statement reads. The grand opening for Crispy Cones will be held at its new location: 📍 Store #A-2, 561 U.S. 1 South, Edison, NJ 08817 ⏰ Friday, August 29, from Noon until Midnight.
To celebrate the launch, the management is offering a free signature cone to anyone who follows them on social media or shows that they have downloaded the Crispy Cones app.
