Overseas Pakistanis Urged to Celebrate Defence Day with Zeal, Solidarity

Managing Director of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation, Muhammad Afzal Bhatti, while speaking to a delegation of overseas Pakistanis, said:

Defence Day of Pakistan reminds us of that day in 1965 when our brave Armed Forces sacrificed their lives to defend our beloved homeland. This day is a golden chapter in our national history, where great examples of unity, sacrifice, and patriotism were set.

Today is not only an occasion to pay tribute to the martyrs and the ghazis, but also a moment to renew our pledge that we will always remain ready for the progress, prosperity, and defence of Pakistan.

Muhammad Afzal Bhatti said: “I salute the overseas Pakistanis living all over the world, who always demonstrate their love and commitment towards their homeland.”

Today, the Government of Pakistan is in strong hands. The Commander-in-Chief of Pakistan, Field Marshal Asim Munir, is a brave, fearless, humble, and patriotic personality whose stories of courage have become well known. The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, has established his identity as a progressive leader. Pakistan is on its way to becoming the tiger of Asia.

In these promising circumstances, overseas Pakistanis should celebrate Defence Day with zeal and enthusiasm in every home, every place, and every country. They should express solidarity with their nation and institutions, remain united, and make Pakistan’s name shine across the world.
