Hazrat Hakeem Muhammad Tariq Mahmood Chughtai: A Beacon of Spiritual Enlightenment

Hazrat Hakeem Muhammad Tariq Mahmood Chughtai, known as Sheikh-ul-Wazaif, is a globally respected Sufi scholar, spiritual healer, author, and founder of Ubqari. Born on December 26, 1966, in Ahmadpur Sharqiya, Bahawalpur, Pakistan, he is a guiding light for millions seeking spiritual and physical healing. His weekly spiritual lectures reach over 195 countries, inspiring audiences through social media and television. Renowned for his compassionate approach and deep knowledge of Islamic and Sufi traditions, he attracts followers from diverse backgrounds.

He hails from a noble family rooted in Sufism and Islamic scholarship, with a lineage tracing back to Sufi Abdul Haq of Ghazni, Afghanistan, and Ahmad Shah Abdali, the historic King of Afghanistan. His family includes his father, Hakeem Muhammad Ramzan Chughtai (M.Sc. Psychology, University of Karachi, 1950), grandfather Haji Allah Bakhsh, and ancestors Mufti Haji Fatah Muhammad and Sufi Wali Muhammad, all known for their piety and service to faith.

He completed his early education in Ahmadpur Sharqiya and pursued F.Sc. at SC College, Dera Nawab. From 1988 to 1991, he studied herbal medicine at Government Tibbia College, Bahawalpur, graduating with distinction and a gold medal. His contributions earned him two honorary Ph.D. degrees: one in Herbal Medicine from Sheffield University, Texas, USA (2008), and another in Community Service from Royal American University (2025). He received the Century Award in 1991 for his 2400-page book, *Method of Treatment*, and the Khawaja Ghulam Fareed Award in 1999 for his global spiritual impact.

With over 300 books authored and translated into multiple languages, his works cover Sufism, Prophetic medicine, mental and physical health, Dhikr, Wazaif, occult sciences, family harmony, child upbringing, and the integration of Sunnah with modern science. His publications are widely used in universities and religious institutions, reflecting his intellectual authority.

In 1991, he was granted the title of Sheikh-ul-Wazaif and spiritual authorization by Hazrat Khwaja Syed Muhammad Abdullah Hajveri (R.A.), in the lineage of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (R.A.). He has delivered over 2,000 lectures worldwide, including in Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan, focusing on Quranic principles, Sunnah, soul purification, inner peace, and remedies for spiritual ailments like the evil eye and black magic. His weekly Thursday Dars at Tasbeeh Khana, Lahore, draws thousands and is broadcast globally via YouTube, Meta, TV channels, and social platforms.

In 2010, he founded the Ubqari Trust, a registered organization offering services without discrimination. Its initiatives include disaster relief for earthquakes, floods, and pandemics; marriage support; aid for orphans and widows; water filtration projects; water sabeel for refreshing drinking water; Ubqari Hajveri Langer for daily free meals; and free medical and spiritual treatment through Ubqari Clinic.

He established spiritual and welfare institutions like Tasbeeh Khana (Lahore), Rohani Manzil (Murree), Ubqari Dawakhana and Store, Hajweri Mahal, Quran Mahal, Gosha-e-Durood (Karachi), and Ubqari Haveli (Ahmedpur). These centers provide healing, spiritual training, and upliftment for all backgrounds. Since 2006, he has served as Founder and Editor-in-Chief of *Ubqari Magazine*, a global Urdu and English publication with over 250,000 monthly copies. He also leads the Ubqari Media Network, including the Ubqari YouTube Channel, Mahnama Ubqari Magazine, Crime Post Newspaper, and social media outreach.

The Ubqari Museum preserves sacred relics, including Mooy-e-Mubarak (Hair of the Prophet ﷺ), fragments of Ghilaf-e-Kaaba and the Prophet’s grave, Ashab-e-Suffah carpet relic, historical swords, and manuscripts, serving as a bridge between Islamic history, spirituality, and healing traditions. Through the Ubqari Law Chamber, he offers free legal aid to the oppressed, including widows, orphans, and victims of injustice, supporting inheritance rights, harassment victims, and minority protections.
