Corps Commanders Conference Addresses Terrorism and Security

Rawalpindi: In a significant statement, the recent Corps Commanders Conference has categorized the terrorist attack in Khuzdar as an operation by Indian-backed proxies. It emphasized that the sacrifices of the martyrs will not be overlooked, reiterating that the safety of the Pakistani populace is the primary concern of the armed forces. The conference called for the utilization of all available resources to combat the Indian-supported terrorist proxies operating in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The 270th meeting was chaired by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, where comprehensive discussions took place regarding the internal and external security challenges and the current security landscape.

Acknowledging the successful conclusion of Operation Banyan Marsus—an essential phase in the fight for justice—the participants offered Fateha (prayers) for the martyrs of this operation and for victims of the Khuzdar attack, which tragically claimed the lives of 4 innocent children and 2 adults.

Field Marshal Munir paid homage to the steadfast support of the Pakistani people, stating that their resilience fuels the military’s determination to confront external threats, terrorism, and extremism.

The conference condemned the indiscriminate targeting of civilians and children as a blatant breach of humanitarian principles, categorizing such actions as serious violations of international law.

Furthermore, the forum reaffirmed its steadfast support for the Kashmiris’ rightful struggle for self-determination, pledging continued diplomatic, political, and moral backing.
