Ali Zai Foundation Celebrates Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day in New York

New York, NY – Pakistan House in New York hosted a grand celebration for Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, organized by the Ali Zai Foundation International. Foundation Chairman Naseem Khan AliZai presided over the event, which drew American dignitaries and Pakistani community leaders.
The ceremony began with Quran recitation by Raja Talat Naqibi, followed by the national anthems of Pakistan and the United States. Vocalist Sheikh Ansar performed patriotic songs, setting a festive tone.
Chairman AliZai, welcoming guests, emphasized the significance of the 2025 milestone: “This year, Allah granted Pakistan a historic victory against its perpetual adversary India. Our brave armed forces downed six Indian fighter jets, cementing Pakistan’s global standing.”
U.S. Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke congratulated the nation, praising AliZai Foundation’s role: “Chairman AliZai builds bridges between our nations while empowering Pakistani-American voters.” Assemblyman Lester Chang hailed Pakistan-China ties as “unbreakable iron brotherhood,” and NYPD Commanding Officer commended Pakistani-Americans’ community service.
Deputy Inspectors Musbah Khan and Asif Iqbal, alongside community leaders Arshad Khan (Pak-America Link), Raja Azad, and Ms. Hafeez (women’s group leader), also addressed the gathering. Prayers for Pakistan’s prosperity preceded a cake-cutting ceremony and dinner.
The event was coordinated by Abrar Khan AliZai, Malik Riaz, Salahuddin Khan, and Dr. Ali. Notable attendees included State Department Deputy Secretary Dr. Seema Kritanaya, Mayor’s Office Commissioner Fred Kreizman, Senator Steven Chun, and Mark Apple.
