The Ambassador of Pakistan, Mr. Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, attended the Pakistan Conference titled “Pakistan: From Potential to Performance” at Harvard University, organized by the Pakistani Students Association. He was accompanied by the Consul General of Pakistan in New York, Mr. Aamer Ahmed Atozai.

The conference brought together students, scholars, academicians, journalists, and opinion-makers to explore how Pakistan can achieve large-scale progress across governance, the economy, climate resilience, and human welfare.

In his remarks, the Ambassador underscored Pakistan’s immense potential, particularly its rich resources and youthful population. He highlighted the resilience of the Pakistani nation and emphasized the country’s strategic geographic significance. Recalling the vision of the Quaid-e-Azam, he noted that Pakistan was destined to serve as a pivotal state in global affairs.

The Ambassador observed that despite being born into challenging circumstances and facing persistent security threats, Pakistan has demonstrated remarkable perseverance. As one of the worst victims of terrorism, the country has not only overcome these challenges but emerged stronger and more determined.

He stressed that Pakistan’s progress must be viewed in the context of these hardships and reaffirmed that Pakistan–United States relations remain an enduring imperative. Inviting greater engagement, he encouraged stakeholders to partner with Pakistan to realize both its potential and its performance-driven future.
